Cancer Scientist delivers lectures at Panjab University

Chandigarh, February 16 2015: Head and Sr.Scientist, Jawaharlal Nehru Cancer Hospital and Research Centre, Bhopal, and a Visiting Fellow, Centre of Advanced Studies in Pharmaceutical Sciences Dr N Ganesh today delivered lecture at University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (UIPS), Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh. He spoke on the topic of “Cancer Awareness: Diet Concerns”.

Ganesh familiarized the audience on the signs, symptoms and modalities to detect cancer, but also emphasized the phenomenal role of diet in prevention and management of various cancerous disorders. The talk was attended by nearly a hundred of the faculty members and research students among UIPS, departments of biosciences and general public.

Ganesh has to his credit more than 85 Publications and guidance of 220 doctoral and postgraduate students in various subjects like Genetics, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Human Genetics, Life Sciences, Microbiology and Medical Psychiatrics.

Dr Ganesh is recipient of various prestigious awards namely, “Eminent Scientist Award for Orthotopic tumor model” (2014); “Renowned Oncogeneticist for the contributions to Blood Cancer Patients”; “Best Social worker Award in the field of Cancer awareness” by MPCOST (2014) and “Khadimey Millat Award for best contribution in the field of cancer awareness and Research.” He has already organized more than 160 Cancer Awareness Camps in India and overseas.
