Canadian Channel ‘Watno Door’ to host Talent Hunt Competition at Guru Kashi University

Talwandi Sabo, January 6, 2014: In order to preserve the Punjabi Culture and to maintain affinity with this earth, famous Canadian Channel ‘Watno Door’ of Toranto famous city of Canada, is holding Talent Hunt Competition at Guru Kashi University, Talwandi Sabo which was scheduled to be held on January 8 will now be held on January 16.

Prof. Gurbhajan Singh Gill, Director (Planning & Development), Guru Kashi University stated that teams from the colleges of District of Bathinda, Mansa, Sri Muktsar Sahib, Barnala & Fazilka of Malwa Region can take part in it. The competition will be restricted to Punjabi Songs, Individual Skits or mono acting. Only those competitors who are concerned with these events will be eligible to participate. Sukhi Nijjar, Chief Manager of the Channel is also arriving on this occasion. This Talent Hunt will go a long way in making the participants aware of Punjabi Culture. Prof Gill also stated that each college can send two participants in this competition.

Semi-final of the winners will be held at Ludhiana and Final at Mohali. Video recording of all the competitions will be telecast from ‘Watno Door’ Channel in Canada. Winners of Final Competition will be joining the Cultural Fairs in Canada. 

He also appealed to the participants to eschew vulgarity and political comments. It would be better that the concerned trainers of the students to prepare such items which may focus upon elimination of social evils.
