B.Ed passouts from Chandigarh College of Education, CGC Landran, have reinforced the institution’s perception as a top notch, quality teacher training education provider, by getting placed in premium educational institutions. St. Joseph’s, Doon International School, Guru Harkrishan Model School, Oakridge International School, The British School are some of the recruiters which have hired CGC students. CGC Landran is the only college in the region offering campus placements to B.Ed degree holders.

The institution has signed MoUs with reputed schools and colleges in the region ensuring excellent internship opportunities for its students and brightening their chances of getting hired by the same institutions, during and/or post completion of their training. CGC also has a specialized training placement cell which regularly conducts pre-placement workshops for B.Ed students helping them chisel their communication skills, computer and digital skills and overall personality development, which are an important component of becoming competent educators of tomorrow. A report by global consulting firm Technopak projects that the Indian education sector currently valued at $100 billion will nearly double to US$ 180 billion by 2020. Adding that India is poised to have the world’s largest tertiary-age population and second largest graduate talent pipeline globally by the end of 2020, it asserts that this sector is poised to witness major growth in the coming years. These figures underline the requirement for well trained teachers going forward and bode well for those in the teaching career or planning to become one.
