Campus Placement Activity Zooms in GNDEC

Ludhiana, September 10, 2015: Campus placements for the current batch of students at GNDEC, Ludhiana are going as a resounding success with marquee global and Indian corporate biggies outdoing each other with handsome pay packages to recruit young genconians graduating from this prestigious college in June, 2016.
Infosys recently conducted a campus placement drive in GNDEC, Ludhiana from 8-9 September, 2015 for the final year B.tech (all Branches) and MCA students. The process  started by a Pre-Placement talk by the H.R. from Infosys, Ms. Shaan Watts. A strength of about 188 students applied for the drive, out of which 101 cracked the Aptitude round and were advanced to the HR round. Finally, 92 students were recruited by the officials of Infosys.
Congratulating the successful students, Dr. K.S. Mann (Dean T&P) said, “We are proud of them. Given their exposure to industrial processes and their specialised knowledge in core engineering subjects, they will surely make a mark for themselves in their respective careers.” The strong industry-academia linkages forged by GNDEC, its quality of students and faculty as also the high industry relevance of its professional courses have helped GNDEC emerge as a top draw among some of the biggest corporate names from across the country.
Infosys is the second-largest India-based IT services company by 2014 revenues, and the fifth largest employer of H-1B visa professionals in the United States in FY 2013. It provides software development, maintenance and independent validation services to companies in banking, finance, insurance, manufacturing and other domains.
Infosys officials were welcomed in a traditional way by the Training and Placement Cell team. The team's effort was appreciated by the company's officials, as a student team managed all the affairs of the placement drive.
The Placement Drive was successfully conducted under the guidance of Dr. K.S. Mann (Dean T&P). Prof HS Kang (Coordinator Placement Cell) .Dr. M.S. Saini, Director of the college appreciated the sincere and tireless efforts of the Training & Placement Cell Team on successful completion of the drive.
