Jalandhar, February 20, 2015: To build the mathematical and analytical skills of the students, Maths department of Cambridge International School (co-ed) organised a vibrant and proactive Maths Mania for Grades V-XII on February 18 in which various activities were conducted.  Grade V participated in an activity named as ‘Run and Fun with Maths’. Number line Pattern Making Competition was done for Grade VI. ‘To search for our champs’ a quiz was conducted for Grade VII-VIII.

On February 13, Model making competition was conducted for Grades IX-XII, this competition was conducted in five groups. In which, Group I presented a model on illusions, they presented their model very well and grabbed 1st position. Group II through their model showed transformation of 2D shapes to 3D. Group III made an instrument to measure height and distance. Group IV that stood Second in competition made a model named Theodolite using the concept-The best out of waste. Group V presented a model on Trigonometry. Students came up with very innovative and improvised ideas. The competition was really tough as a lot of efforts were put in by students which made this event a great success.

Chairman Ajay Bhatia, Deputy Chairman Deepak Bhatia, Director Learning Wings J.K. Kohli, Nitin Kohli and Academic Director Deepa Dogra, Principal Kiranjot Dhillon congratulated Mathematical Department and motivated the students to strive harder for the next level and appreciated their overwhelming response in terms of innovation and knowledge.
