Grandparents Day being celebrated at Cambridge International School for Girls, Jalandhar.

Jalandhar, February 25, 2015: The students of Cambridge International School for Girls, with the belief that Grandparents are the pillars of every family and the children imbibe their values, motivation and inspiration from them, celebrated Grandparents Day recently in the school auditorium to honour and felicitate their wonderful grandparents.

The big day began by seeking the blessings of the divine and this was followed by a variety entertainment programme put up by the Cambridge children. Tiny tots in colourful attires were all excited to perform before their grandparents. They tapped their feet to the old melodies and danced to various tunes.  There were a number of games for the grandparents including the memory game and chain game in which the jubilant grandparents participated whole- heartedly. Kids, too, were elated to surprise their loved ones with their special performances as models. By being with kids, the grandparents looked as if their life had sparkled again. The winners were then given prizes. They also shared their love and feelings for their grandparents by which the grandparents were so overwhelmed that they thanked the school for the wonderful programme put up by the children.

The programme witnessed the gracious presence of Director J K Kohli and Principal, Deepa Dogra .They reiterated that the younger generation needs to reach out to the senior citizens with empathy as they stand to benefit from the wealth of experience gained by them in their journey of life.
