New Delhi, December 30, 2012: "It’s not the death of a girl alone but the death of freedom of movement guaranteed under the Constitution of India. Instead of condolences and prayer, the Government should announce concrete measures to curb such kind of brutal and heinous crime. Let there be a people's national mourning and no celebrations of New Year in any way", said Praveen Khandelwal, Secretary General of the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) while condoling the sad demise of the Delhi gang raped girl.
In a statement here, he said,” We are ashamed... The land which has an ages old heritage of respecting women has dotted black with outraging the dignity of a girl. Our Heads are down and the lips are speechless”.
