Cabinet Minister Sekhon Distributed Bhagat Puran Singh Sehat Bima Yojna Smart Cards To Farmers

Ferozepur, April 11, 2016: Janmeja Singh Sekhon, Cabinet Minister, Punjab distributed smart cards of Bhagat Puran Singh Sehat Bima Yojna to farmers in a district level programme held at new grain market in Ferozepur cantonment today.
While praising the scheme, the cabinet minister said that the scheme will be beneficial for thousands of farmers of the region. He said under this scheme the farmers will be eligible for free treatment upto Rs.50,000 in all government hospitals and few identified private hospitals. He said under this scheme the beneficiaries will also get Rs. 5 Lakh for accidental death or 100% physical handicapped cover. He said that premium of the scheme would also be paid by Punjab Mandi Board. He said that the state government under the leadership of the Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal is launching new schemes for the welfare of everyone.
During his address, Sekhon launched a verbal attack on Aam Aadmi Party convener and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and called him a liar and a traitor. He said that when Kejriwal was in Punjab he had a different stand about SYL issue but as soon as he reached Delhi, he ate his words. Sekhon also minced no word in criticizing Punjab Congress Chief Captain Amarinder Singh and said that till date congress has followed only one policy, divide and rule. He asserted that only CM Parkash Singh Badal can bring peace and harmony in Punjab.
Kamal Sharma, former BJP Punjab president also lashed out on Congress and said for the first time in the last seventy years, we have governments in both centre and state, which are working for the welfare of the farmers of the state in tandem.
Daljit Singh and Suchha Singh of Village Dhiran Pattran appreciated the scheme and said that this scheme will be definitely beneficial for the farmers of the state.
