BSNL starts few attractive schemes on landline

Dharamshala, July 29, 2017: BSNL is launching an attractive land line scheme for its HP consumers. Stating this in Dharamshala, Sunil Kumar, MD, BSNL said, "We are starting Landline 299 scheme from 1st August, where a consumer will pay Rs 299 a month on land line and enjoy 250 free calls to any network, making the phone virtually free of the monthly charges.”
Talking to media, Kumar said that BSNL have also decided to wave off installation charges on all new landline connections and broadband connections henceforth, the scheme shall continue for a year. He said, "We are now providing cash back scheme on cost of broadband modem, which costs otherwise Rs 1500. BSNL will refund Rs 50 pm for 30 months in its billing system.”
He said that under MLA fund BSNL have provided free WIFI facility to villages around Dharamshala namely Mandal, Sukkad, Passu, Bagli and Sarah, and is shortly providing the same to Juhal, Tou, Sokni da kot, Jadrangal, Padder, Baghani, Narwana, Rakkad and Tangroti.
Kumar said, "Wi Fi Hot spot (off load) will soon be given to the urban consumers too and for this 2 spots have been finalised in Dharamshala, one each in Palampur, Dehra, Dharamshala Airport, Nurpur and McLeodganj.”
He informed that that to make BSNL services more effective 95 new 3G Base Transceiver Station BTS are being planned to be set up in Kangra and Chamba districts. Out of these, 17 shall be set up in Dharamshala, 22 in Nurpur, 15 in Palampur, 18 in Dehra sub divisions.
