Ferozepur, October 6, 2012: BSNL, Ferozepur Circle celebrated 12th Foundation Anniversary week from 1th October to 7th October and organised a written Quiz Contest to create awareness about services offered by BSNL among students who are young citizens also.
Speaking on the occasion, Ajeet Kumar, GM (Telecom) said, on this day BSNL wants, to thank all its loyal customers who have been a part of its success because of tremendous type technical infrastructure on its back.
He further stated that Indian Telecom Company – Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited’ (BSNL) on the occasion of 12th anniversary has announced number of new offers for its customers. The new offers will begin this month and more than 125 million BSNL customers will be able to get the benefit of thee new offers.
BSNL is the backbone of all service providers and has revolutionise through its internet services in banking sector, with a challenge to other companies to do so.
Ferozepur Telecom District of BSNL serves five revenue districts of Punjab – Moga, Ferozepur, Muktsar, Faridkot and Fazilka and agricultural border belt is a challenging territory for telecom service provider. It has served the area with distinction thus outshining the private operators, he added.
GM also shared that there are about 9 lakh working mobiles in Ferozepur SSA which is much more than any other Telecom District in Punjab Circle through about 500 mobile towers.
He also stated that Ferozeur SSA got first position in sale of Mobile products like Flexi, Recharge, new GSM prepaid connections of 2G and 3G both services in Punjab circle and stood first in current financial year 2012-13.
A power point presentation was also given on the working and schemes of BSNL to the students.
The Quiz Contest winners – Mangat Ram, Aatma Ujjwal, Neelot Pal, Manpreet Singh and Vaishno Kumar Dubey, all of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Technical Camps, Ferozepur by getting 30, 30, 30, 31 and 32 marks respectively, out of 40 marks.
