BSF recovers three packet of heroin, one pistol, two magazines and 13 live rounds in Ferozepur sector

Ferozepur, January 18, 2017: The Alert troops of BSF belonging to 77 battalion today recovered three packets of Heroin alongwith one Pistol, two magazine and 13 live round near border outpost Basti Ram Lal in Ferozepur Sector.

While giving the details, B S Rajpurohit, DIG Sector BSF Ferozepur said that a special search operation was carried out today morning by the BSF troops ahead of the border fencing following specific information about concealment of narcotics and firearms in fields ahead of the fence.

DIG said that during the search operation, the BSF sleuths recovered three packets Heroin worth Rs.15 crore in the International market along with one pistol, two magazines and 13 live rounds which were buried in barren land in between zero line and the fence.

DIG added that the enhanced vigil of BSF troops has once again thwarted the attempt of anti-National elements to smuggle contraband items into India.
