Ferozepur, May 30, 2017: In a joint operation with Special Task Force (SRF) set up by the state government and BSF troops belonging to105 Battalion today recovered five packet of heroin (4.5 Kg.) near border outpost (BoP) Dona Telu Mal and BoP Shameke along the Pakistan Border in Ferozepur Sector.
While giving the details, BS Rajpurohit, DIG (Sector Headquarters) Ferozepur said that the BSF troops recovered four packets of heroin in the alignment of 195/4 from BoP DT MAL which were buried under a berry tree. One packet containing 500 gram heroin was recovered in the alignment of border pillar number 195/3 BOP Shameke.
It is pertinent to mention here that in a joint operation carried out by the Special Task Force (STF) set up by the state government and the troops of BSF, three packets of Heroin weighing around 2.5 Kg were recovered during two separate seizures on May 11.
