Brilliant & financially weak students of DAV College benefited under Book Bank Scheme

Jalandhar, July 30, 2015: The brilliant and financially weak students of DAV College, Jalandhar were benefited under the "Book Bank Scheme", under which around 2500 course text books were distributed to them. The "Book Bank Scheme" was launched and being operated by the DAV College Library which serves to assist and benefit the deserving but financially weak students every year.
The books are distributed free of cost keeping in mind their economic status and the marks scored by them in the respective university exams.
Principal Dr B B Sharma said "We try our best that this scheme renders full advantage to the able and deserving students and they are able to make optimum use of these books without any financial issues".
Prof Naveen Saini (Librarian DAV College) told that the students are always full of enthusiasm to make use of the scheme, and in this session around 700 students applied for the books under the book bank scheme. The library forum in which Prof PK Kapoor (Vice Principal), Prof PK Sharma (Vice Principal), Prof BB Sharma, Prof VK Sareen, Prof Nischay Behl, Profnaveen Saini and Shri Arun Prasher personally interviewed all the students and distributed the books to them keeping intact the old laid down standards.
These books are issued to the respective students in their library accounts till the exams, and after the exams students responsibly return back those books in the library.
