Brig Manjit Singh gets `Punjab Parman Patra-2013’

Chandigarh/Ludhiana, August 16, 2013: Brig Manjit Singh, Director Defence Services Welfare was honoured with the award of ' Punjab Parman Patra 2013' by Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal on the occasion of State level function of Independence Day organised at Ludhiana on Thursday.

Disclosing this here today, a spokesman of the government said that Brig Manjit Singh was the first Director for having been honored with this award for his dedication and unrelenting devotion towards the well being and welfare of Ex-servicemen since the time he was appointed Director Defence Services Welfare, Punjab in the year Dec, 2011. All the projects launched during his tenure were completed well in time.

Brig. Singh said that State Award conferred on him was the result of a dedicated team work of his officers and staff and the good wishes of Ex-servicemen community.
