Jalandhar, December 26, 2012: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has today arrested a Senior Manager (Engineering) Airport Authority of India, Jorhat (Assam) for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs. 50,000 from the complainant.
A case was registered against the Senior Manager (Engineering) Airport Authority of India, Jorhat (Assam) on a complaint.
The Complainant, a Contractor, alleged that the accused had demanded a bribe of Rs. 50,000 from him for clearing bills of civil works of Jorhat Airport.
The CBI laid a trap and the accused was arrested while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs. 50,000 from the complainant.
Further investigation is continuing.
