Breaking: Quiz And Workshop On Disaster & Emergency Mitigation Organised

Ludhiana, May 5, 2015: IDMFS- The Safety Masters, Chandigarh organised a workshop on Disaster & Emergency Mitigation for the students and staff of Sat Paul Mittal School, Dugri, Ludhiana.  

At the opening remarks of the workshop Bhupinder Gogia, Principal of the Sat Paul Mittal School stressed the need for disaster management in the present day of life.   She highlighted the significance of knowledge about disaster & emergency mitigation.  She discussed about recent earthquake disaster surfaced in Nepal where human lives and the property loss was major worries for the agencies both at national and international levels working for the disaster management.  In these circumstances, she informed that as a capacity building measure for the students and faculty about disaster planning and mitigation today’s workshop was organised.

Speaking on this occasion Ankur Kumar Chauhan, Managing Director of IDMFS-The Safety Masters informed the participants about various disasters like earthquake, floods, terrorism and fire.

During the program quiz program was also organised for the students, which was participated by the students in interactive manner.   The students answers were adjudged by panel of experts from IDMFS and technical correct answer giving students were awarded the prizes.

At the close of the program Ritu Roy from IDMFS thanked SPM school management for their initiative for the capacity building in Disaster Management.
