Chandigarh, November 15, 2019: The book titled "Taking Bail Seriously: State of Bail Jurisprudence in India " published by Lexis Nexis and edited by Salman Khurshid, former Union Minister for External Affairs, Law & Justice, senior advocate; Sidharth Luthra, senior advocate and former Additional Solicitor General of India; Dr.Lokendra Malik, advocate, Supreme Court and Dr.Shruti Bedi, Associate Professor, UILS, Panjab University is being released on 13th December 2019 at the India International Centre, New Delhi. The book is an attempt to present the actual state of affairs regulating bail jurisprudence in the country and contains a wealth of information and solutions to the unresolved and unanswered questions relating to the same. It is certainly a significant value addition to the existing literature on bail and is a highly recommended text for law students judges. lawyers, academicians or anyone interested in reading or learning about the issues like regular bail, default bail, anticipatory bail, constitutional issues relating to bail and personal liberty. RADIO JYOTIRGAMAYA 91.2 MHZ, COMMUNITY RADIO OF PANJAB UNIVERSITY RECORDING AUDIO BOOKS FOR VISUALLY IMPAIRED STUDENTS FREE OF COST Chandigarh, November 15, 2019: Radio Jyotirgamaya 91.2 MHz, community radio of Panjab University has been recording audio books for visually impaired students free of cost since its inception. Students, volunteers record the Study material given by visually impaired students, and after sound editing, the recordings are handed over to them. Chairperson, School of Communication Studies and Coordinator of Radio Jyotirgamaya 91.2 MHz, Sumedha Singh said it was not possible to prepare this audio study material without voluntary help of these students. She had appealed to the entire community to volunteer and help in the noble initiative. She presented an audio book material of Study material of ‘Tulsidass Kavitavali’ to a student of MA Hindi, Rohit Kumar. It has been prepared with the help of time donated by students of School of Communication studies and volunteers of Radio Jyotirgamaya 91.2 MHz. About 10 hours of recording time has gone into the production of the Study material. She thanked the volunteers for sparing their precious time for this noble initiative of recording an audio book.
