Bollywood makeup artist Saurav Kumar bags best celebrity makeup artist award

Jalandhar: The young celebrity makeup artist from city has made everyone proud by winning two awards namely Best creative celebrity makeup artist Punjab and Best Artistic team of makeup artist, at Wedding Mantra Awards 2018 Punjab held recently in Ludhiana. He has received these honors from beautiful Bollywood actress Chitrangada Singh.

At such a young age of 22, Saurav has received many awards for his creative makeup looks and have worked with many Bollywood and Pollywood celebrities as well like Shilpa Shetty, Upasana Singh, Ranbir Kapoor and Karan Kundra etc. He claims that he has 16 years of experience in this fashion industry. Admitting the same, he said, “When I was 5, one day I peeped into the green room of a show where the makeup artists were doing the makeup on a star. Observing them closely, I realized he can do better than them. This happened at the age of 5, when kids don’t even know how to hold a crayon properly.”

Soon his parents realised that Saurav could sketch portraits and paint a landscape so easily that it felt he knew it right from the womb. Nothing wasting any time, he tried the same on faces and whomever he touched turned out God or Goddesses. “Over a period of time I gained popularity in my locality, and no sooner I was asked for bridal make overs. By the age of 8, people had to get an appointment from me”, added Saurav.

Telling about his creative side he shared, “I picture my clients in my mind and make my imagination a reality. My work has turned a girl next door into a diva. Easy use of different and vibrant eye shades, comfortable strokes on cheeks and turning strands of hair to a jaw dropping hair style is what one needs to know.”

Not only this, he has also received best celebrity award last year from Bollywood actress Ameesha Patel at Millennium Brilliance Award 2017 in New Delhi. For future, Saurav wishes to own his makeup studio and take it to global level.
