Ferozepur, February 6, 2013: The Centre Government has always been doing step-motherly treatment with the farmers and with the increase in diesel rates they are being burdened with extra heavy load of expenditure.

This was expressed by Jaswant Singh Gatta, press secretary, Bharat Kisan Union Rajewal.

He further said that the decision of the centre government to increase the diesel rate every month will increase the financial burden on the farmers as they had to purchase the diesel, fertilizer and other inputs right from sowing to harvesting.  The farmers have also gone under debt and in certain cases, they are compelled to commit suicides.

Jaswant Singh Gatta said, there is already inflation in the market and with the increase of diesel rates, it will increase further and the centre government should think of rolling back the increase in rates every month.

On this occasion, Pippal Singh, vice president Punjab, Gurcharan Singh Pir Mohammad, general secretary, Suchha Singh, vice president, district Ferozepur, Gurdev Singh president block Makhu, Dharam Singh, president Sabhra, Mehal Singh, Master Amar Singh, Joginder Singh, secretary Sabhra, Jagtar Singh president Jallewala and others were present.
