BIRD ACADEMY AND AMSDC CELEBRATE CONVOCATION DAY; 90 STUDENTS GRADUATE TO TAKE ON AVIATION AND ALLIED JOBS

New Delhi, April 17, 2019: Bird Academy, one of South Asia's Top-10 2011 ‘IATA- certified’ authorized training centers and the educational arm of Bird Group together with Aviation Multi Skills Development Center of Chandigarh, held their graduation ceremony in New Delhi today. The convocation was hosted for 90 students, who passed with flying colors and received the degrees for their courses.

The students of the passed-out batch will now be placed in different aviation jobs based on merit and qualification. They will have a gamut of choices from ground handling roles, to in-flight management, ticketing and other bookings etc

Chief Guest at the event, Mr. Pradeep Singh Kharola , Secretary, Ministry of Civil Aviation handed over the certificates to the students.

On the occasion, Mrs. Radha Bhatia, Chairperson, Bird Group said, “My heartiest congratulations to all the students who are taking home their diploma today. It is an equally proud moment for us as it is for you. We are eager to see you enter the professional world and utilize your talent to the best of your capabilities. As you enter the professional world you will realise that how handy the skills taught to you in these courses will be in your day to day work life. But do remember that in addition to your skills your attitude and the ability to deal with people especially customers will contribute greatly to your success.”

Established in 1988, Bird Academy, also known as Bird Education Society for Travel and Tourism provides a spectrum of quality training programs in Aviation, Travel, Tourism, Hospitality and Retail. The institution has pioneered in designing curriculum, developing content and conduct of training and vocational programs. Previously, one of south Asia’s top 10 2011 IATA certified Authorized Training Centers, Bird Academy was awarded the IATA 2018 regional top performer award at the Global Training Partners Conference in Istanbul.

Aviation Multi Skill Development Centre or AMSDC was opened in Chandigarh in 2018, especially to bring job opportunities to underprivileged students. The initiative is a part of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between Bird Academy and National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) to impart enhanced skills and create a market ready workforce in the Aviation and Aerospace Sector.
