The Director of BPA Anurag Sharma who was talking to media at Dharamshala on Saturday said, “We are not answerable to Mankotia regarding the accounts of Para Gliding World Cup, which was organised by BPA from 23 to 31 October 2015 at Bir Billing, but still we invite Mankotia to come at office and check it.”
Sharma said that during this event, which was the first of its kind in south East Asia, Mankotia – the then VP Himachal Tourism, was invited to the site –but he did not turned up though the Tourism Corporation was one of the sponsors of the event. Sharma said that when the state government sacked him (Mankotia ) of the post, he has raised the issue of accounts.
Sharma said, “Himachal Tourism had given Rs 1.5 crore for the event and the bill for the same was deposited, verified and passed whereas the rest of the amount was gathered from the other sponsors.”

The event was inaugurated by Ashok Gajapathi Raju Pusapati Union Minister for Civil Aviation. Sharma said that the president of the Paragliding world Cup Goran Dimeski described the event as best organised one in the world.
Yesterday Mankotia blamed PGA about the fraud of multi crore rupees, and demanded a CBI inquiry in to the matter. He said that as UD Minister Sudhir Sharma is the president of PGA, CM is reluctant about the inquiry.
