Re-appear exam of 63000 students to be conducted on 23rd June, result in 10 days: Aruna Chaudhary
Chandigarh: The Education Minister, Punjab, Mrs.Aruna Chaudhary has on Wednesday taken a major decision of conducting the re-appear exam of 12th standard on 23rd June with a view to save the precious year of the students placed in compartment.

In a statement issued here on Wednesday, the Minister said that 63000 students have failed in a subject thus being placed in compartment. She said that considering multitude of factors e.g. admission in next class, courses, or applying for a job, it has been decided to conduct the re-appear exam early. She further divulged that the result would be declared in 10 days.

The minister also disclosed that the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB ) has been instructed to ensure implementation of this beneficial decision. She further revealed that the exam centers would be made at sub-divisional level. The minister also elaborated that earlier, only science stream re-appear exam used to be conducted early but now re-appear exam of all the streams of class 12 would be conducted early.
