BHUTANESE DELEGATION VISITS PAU

Ludhiana, May 24, 2017: A 3 member delegation from the Bhutanese Ministry of Education comprising Mr. N.B. Raika (Chief of Dept. of Adult & Higher Education), Mr Baburam Sherpa (Chief of Scholarship Office), and Mr.Dolay Tshering (Sr. Scholarship Programme Officer) visited PAU to discuss future avenues of admission for students from Bhutan.

The Dean Post Grdauate Studies, Dr Neelam Grewal welcomed the delegates and gave a brief about the guidelines concerning admission of foreign students to PAU.

While thanking the university for accepting students from Bhutan, Mr Raika said, “We are very happy with the programmes being run by the university and look forward to acceptance of a bigger number of students by PAU in the future”.

The delegates were particularly interested in the curriculum of Soil and Water Engineering, Farm Power Machinery, Food Technology and prerequisites for admission to the same.

The meeting was also attended by Dean, College of Agricultural Engineering, Dr J.S. Mahal, Dean, College of Basic Sciences and Humanities & College of Home Science, Dr G.K. Sangha, Advisor, International Students, Dr Vishal Bector and Dr B.S. Sekhon from the College of Agriculture.

Later the visitors called upon the sponsored students from Bhutan.
