Bhikkhu Sanghasena gets ‘National Gaurav Award’
The Buddhist Monk’s role in Education, Healthcare & World Peace louded Chandigarh, January 4, 2019: World renowned Spiritual teacher, Bhikkhu Sanghasena has been awarded with the “National Gaurav Award-2018” by the Indian Braveheart Organization at a special programme held at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi. Sanghasena is the founder president of Mahabodhi International Meditation Centre (MIMC), Leh. The Chandigarh branch of MIMC is located in Ramgarh, near Panchkula. This award was presented for his tireless and selfless service in the field of education, healthcare, environmental protection and promotion of World peace, interfaith harmony and Mahakaruna (Great Compassion) at both national and international level for the last more than 30 years. Ven. Sanghasena deeply appreciated the organizers for the recognition and appreciation for his work by conferring this award. He said, “Meditation is highly effective in bringing peace at the individual and world level.” Many renowned personalities from film industries, Business Icons, Doctors, bureaucrats, Sports person and Social Activists were among those who were present during the Award presentation ceremony.
