Beware of fraudsters in name of ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Parhao’ scheme’

Ludhiana, June 3, 2019: It has come to the notice of the Social Security and Child Development Department that certain anti-social elements and the NGOs are indulging in defrauding the people in the name of ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Parhao’ scheme. The department taking strong notice of the development has cautioned the people to beware of such fraudsters. The department has clearly stated that strict action would be initiated against such elements who try to defraud people by promising them undue benefits under the scheme. The people have also been exhorted to report such matters to the department. Disclosing this, Deputy Commissioner Ludhiana Mr Pradeep Kumar Agrawal said that certain rogue elements and NGOs are selling the forms in the name of providing cash to the people under the ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Parhao’ scheme. He made it absolutely clear that the department does not provide any cash amount as per the scheme. Those indulging in such a propaganda are defrauding the people. He has also explicitly said that police complaint would be lodged against whoever indulges in spreading such a rumour. Exhorting people to be wary of such elements, the department has said that nobody should share their personal info such as Aadhar Card, Bank Account, Phone Number and E-Mail details with such fraudsters.
