Dharamshala, November 10, 2016: The old currency of bigger denomination has been changed and being replaced with the new one. Old notes are being taken back to the bank accounts and the new notes are being made a available to the public through the banking sector in the country.
Hundreds, thousands and lacks of bank employees are busy in making PM Narendra Modi's vision a grand success. They are not even working tirelessly but also devoting the late hours sitting to give their maximum to the public. The banking sector has also given their maximum during the national project ,when PM wished that every one must have a bank account.
Kulbhushan Agin, retired CGM of Punjab National Bank said, "Bankers are always there to implement the governments policies. But the bank employees too need a rest. Government is right to cancel the Saturday Sunday break to give more facility to the general public ,but it must give compensatory holiday to the bank employee to give relief as they shall work without break from 7th to 19th of this month." He added that the rest of a day or two can energies the bankers to give their 100%.
Meera Walia another retired AGM of a bank,said," bankers must be given a rest from their tireless national service to make them fresh and courteous. "
Aarushi Raj, Cashier of a bank in Himachal said that the job of the bank employees is becoming unsafe these days as the banks are not being given replacement of retired bank guards. The 90% of the ATMs are also without guards ,which has increased the incidents of ATM loot a many fold. Government must look in this direction too.
Lal Mani Thakur another employees of SBI said that there is always a large statewide discrimination in gazetted holiday of the banks . the annual holidays must be the same I all the states.
The entire banking sector in the state is totally busy in exchange of currency,as the long queues are common everywhere when banks today reopened after the break of a day ,after the historic public address of PM Modi on 9th November.
