Ferozepur, November 1, 2014: More than twenty trains including Amritsar-New Delhi Shatabadi Express, Sachkhand Express, Katra-New Delhi Shri Shakti Express, Amritsar Chandigarh- Express were affected in the Ferozepur division due to Punjab Bandh.
The call for bandh was given by various Sikh organisations for delay being caused in delivering justice in the 1984 riots.
The shops, educational institutes and offices remained closed the whole day. Only one or two minor incidents of scuffle between the agitators and shopkeepers were reported in the city.
The police officials remained on their toes throughout the day but fortunately nothing terrible happened.
