Baisakhi: Ivy Traditional Fervour

Jalandhar, April 12, 2019: India is a land of many cultures which blend into each other seamlessly. Each region has its own way of celebrating New Year usually when the crops are harvested. In Punjab, this day is celebrated as Baisakhi. To give an insight into this day, tiny tots of Ivy World School, Jalandhar, run by an I League education, celebrated Baisakhi with great pomp and show. The Kindergarten section was immersed in the spirit of festivity as the little ones came dressed in ethnic attire representingPunjabi culture.
The day started by seeking the blessings of almighty through a prayer. The significance of Baisakhi was highlighted through beautiful poetic words delivered confidently by our little wonders. Young learners of IVY showcased a mesmerizing Punjabi folk dance performance. The tiny tots enjoyed the beats of the dhol and their joy had no limit. A mellifluous traditional dance performed with propswas the highlight of the celebration. Glimpses of farmers with their harvested crops was also shown to kids , through a video highlighting the significance of Baisakhi to show their gratitude to the farmers.
Speaking on the occasion, school Principal Mrs. S.Chauhan and the Headmistress Mrs. Parminderjit Sandhu congratulated and appreciated all the students for giving such a scintillating and vivacious performance and making this event a memorable one.
