Mattewal (Amritsar), April 3, 2016: Taking an aim at Delhi CM and AAP Convenor Mr Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab Revenue Minister Mr Bikram Singh Majithia today said that backstabbing Punjabis has now become a habit of Kejriwal & Company. He said that when in Punjab, Mr Kejriwal speaks in favour of Punjab on SYL issue and when he crosses the Punjab border, he backstabs the state by opposing Punjab on the same issue.
Mr Majithia said this while distributing grants worth Rs 1 crore and laying foundation stones of dozens of development projects at villages Mattewal and Roopowali Brahmna. While speaking to media persons, Mr Bikram Majithia said that Arvind Kejriwal has nothing to do with the rights and interests of Punjab, Punjabis and Sikh religion, neither has he contributed anything for the state or its residents. Terming it as a mere drama, Mr Majithia alleged that Kejriwal and Company is playing with the emotions of Punjabis for their petty gains and vested interests. He said that Kejriwal has opposed Punjab on SYL issue and till date, has not given any representation to any Punjabi or Sikh in his ministry.
He said that Kejriwal's so called "soft corner" towards Sikh religion is nothing more than a con, whereas the truth is that Kejriwal is promoting and shielding anti Sikh forces. While questioning the Delhi CM, Mr Majithia said whether the misplacing of file related to SIT on Sikh genocide of 1984 was part of some secret deal? He said that Kejriwal tried to pat his own back by issuing advertisements regarding awarding compensation to victims of Sikh genocide of 1984 from money received from centre government. He questioned whether even a single penny was paid by the Delhi government through their own means? He said that the double standards of Kejriwal would not be tolerated by the smart Punjabis.
He advised Kejriwal to leave this "dramebaazi" and show honesty towards the state and warned that conmen like him have always been shown the door by Punjabis and day is not far when Kejriwal & Co would also be shown the door in similar manner. Mr Majithia said that Kejriwal & Co has no solid issue to present before the Punjabis and that is why they are showing "Mungeri Lal Ke Haseen Sapne" to Punjabis and also trying to fool them. Mr Majithia said that Kejriwal has not fulfilled even a single promise which he made with the people of Delhi and on the other hand he increased the salaries of his MLAs and Ministers manifold. He said that Kejriwal has surrounded himself with a rich coterie who have not managed to get adjusted in any other party.
Charging the Aam Aadmi Party, Mr Bikram Singh Majithia said that the party should be named "Lutt Khoh Party" in Punjab.
Talbir Singh Gill, Major Shivi, Sukhwinder Singh Goldy, SGPC member Bhagwan Singh Sialka, Prof Parambir Singh Mattewal, Sarchand Singh, besides several others were also present on the occasion.
