Bablee Jha wins cash prize of Rs.25,000 in state level oration competition

Jaandhar, December 8, 2018: Bablee Jha, a student of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar, won a cash prize of Rs.25,000 in the state level oration competition organized by the Nehru Yuva Kendra at Chandigarh. College Principal Dr.Gurpinder Singh Samra congratulated the victorious student along with Prof. Ahuja Sandeep (Professor In charge, Literary Team) on this proud moment. Speaking on the occasion, Principal Dr.Gurpinder Singh Samra recalled the achievements of Bablee Jha from the 2017-18 and 2018-19 Zonal and Inter Zonal Youth Festivals to the current day and also her progress to the national level completion to be held at New Delhi from 21st to 26th January 2019 wherein she will be contesting for even bigger honours in terms of cash prizes ranging from Rs. 50,000 to 2,00,000 for the podium finishers. Dr. Samra expressed his best wishes to the student and hoped she would continue to win laurels for herself and the college. Prof. Ahuja Sandeep, Professor In charge, College Literary Team, also lauded the consistent winning performances of Bablee Jha mentioning her victory of Rs.5,000/- cash prize in the previous round of district level competition under the same banner. Bablee Jha thanked College Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra for the opportunities given to her to showcase her talent on such platforms whilst also appreciating the guidance rendered by Prof. Ahuja Sandeep and Prof. Kritika Khanna. Prof. Surinderpal Mand was also present on the occasion.
