Basketball players creating awareness in Ludhiana on Thursday.

Ludhiana, December 27, 2012: The 63rd Senior National Basketball Championship for Men and Women will start tomorrow at Guru Nanak Stadium here.
It will conclude on January 4 next.
The organisers started the tournament with a road show. Some of the tallest players of the country with heights reaching 7 ft also participated in the road show.
The players were seen promoting the game outside Westend Mall besides at Bharat Nagar Chowk and in Sarabha Nagar market, Chaura Bazaar and also near Durga Mata Mandir.
Interestingly, these players were seen stopping the vehicular traffic for about 2 minutes at each spot and were playing the game. The motive was to create awareness among the masses about the sports.
The players were carrying the banners for promotion of sports and providing complete details of tournament.
It may be mentioned here that prior permission was granted to them for stopping the traffic for a noble cause.
