Awareness seminar on ‘say to no drugs’ by ‘Satyamev Jayate Society’ at Innocent Hearts School

Jalandhar, October 19, 2019: A Colloquium on ‘Say No to Drugs’ was organized at Innocent Hearts, Green Model Town. It was conducted by ‘Satyamev Jayate Society.’ On this occasion, Mr.Kapil Bhatia – Chairman of Society, Sh.Pankaj Sarpal – President of Society, - Ms.Benu Chopra (Counselor at Nasha Chudao Centre), Mr. Gaurav Vij and others were all present. A Power Point Presentation was shown to the students of class IX and X by Ms.Benu Chopra, depicting different types of drugs and its harmful effects. They mentioned that there is a special Rehabilitation centre at Civil Hospital in Jalandhar. Sh.Kapil Bhatia and Sh.Pankaj Sarpal explained that Satyamev Jayate Society is providing selfless service for the betterment of society. They have started a campaign against Drug Abuse. The students took a pledge along with A.S.I. Mr.Shamsher Singh, to stay away from drugs and motivate those who are addicted to join rehabilitation centre. On this occasion questions were asked from the students and prizes were given to the winners. The other members of the society - Mr.Naresh Sharma, Mr.Neeraj Kahar, Mr.Gagandeep Saluja , Mr.Garv Sarpal, Mr.Shivanash Bhatia were present. Principal Mr.Rajeev Paliwal, Vice Principal Mrs.Sharmila Nakra and Mr.Manish Joshi – Executive Officer gave souvenirs to the members of society.
