Awareness Rally & Run Against Drugs Organised By District Legal Services Authority

Ludhiana, May 27, 2016: An awareness rally and run against drugs was organised by District Legal Services Authority, Ludhiana in which hundreds of students from Government Senior Secondary School, Punjab Agricultural University, participated. This rally was flagged off by District and Sessions Judge Mr Karamjit Singh Kang, here today morning. Chief Judicial Magistrate-cum-secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Ludhiana Mr Rajesh Bhagat and DEO (Secondary) Mrs Paramjit Kaur Chahal were also present on the occasion.
While addressing the students, Mr Karamjit Singh Kang called upon the students to stay away from drugs and contribute in nation building. He said that the students should also educate others about the ill effects of drugs. He said that the main aim of organizing this awareness rally and Run Against Drugs was to create awareness amongst the students about ill effects of drugs.
Mr Rajesh Bhagat said that several government organisations as well as NGO’s are making efforts for creating a drug free society. He said that with strong will power and commitment, one can easily shun drugs.
