Nawanshahar, March 1, 2015: Assistant Registrar (AR) Cooperative Societies posted at Nawanshahar Dr.Jagjit Singh brought laurel for the city by clearing the recently concluded Punjab Civil Services (PCS) Executive Branch (EB) examination.
Dr.Jagjit Singh, who was earlier selected in the allied services of the PCS in 2012 exam, had joined as AR here in the city in January this year. Prior to joining as AR Dr. Jagjit Singh a BAMS Doctor had also served as Inspector in the Food and Civil Supplies Department of the state government. Hailing from villages Sheikhe of Jalandhar district, Dr. Jagjit Singh had aspired to join the coveted state civil service since his college days.
Crediting his family for the success in this exam, Dr. Jagjit Singh said that the love and support extended by his family enabled him to work hard for clearing this examination. He also thanked all his friends for their good wishes to him.
Meanwhile, congratulating Dr. Jagjit Singh for his success Deputy Commissioner Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar Ravinder Singh exhorted him to discharge his duties with utmost dedication, sincerity, honesty and professional commitment. Wishing Dr. Jagjit Singh a promising career and a bright future ahead, the Deputy Commissioner asked him to serve the state and its people with full enthusiasm and devotion for cherishing their aspirations by implementing the policies and programs of the state government in the right earnest.
