Ludhiana, October 5, 2012: Asian Club's Ludhiana branch today organised a function at School for deaf Children.
Gurpreet Singh Toor, Deputy Commissioner of Police was the chief guest.
In this function, winter uniform, sweaters and shoes were presented to 11 girls.
Nine brilliant deaf kids were honored with the certificates and trophies. They had attained best position in their classes.
Refreshment was presented to 200 deaf and dumb kids. Besides, 15 deaf kids were presented stationary.
The program's guests of honor were Darshan Arora, Chairman - Ludhiana Citizen Council, Sunil Prabhakar, Dr. Satish Thamman and Pt. Rajan Sharma.
Religious song was sung by principal Doly, where as the item " O maa....." presented by the deaf kids was very touching.
Club’s introduction was given by it's chief organiser Raaz Thakur.
A sum of Rs. 2,100 was presented to the school by Amarjit Singh, Retired Additional Director, Local Audit, Finance Department whereas DCP Toor also encouraged the kids financially from his own pocket.
Club's Managing Director Sukhminder Singh and Patron Ashok Dhir also spoke.
Among others, Rakesh Kapoor, Ravi Nandan Sharma, Raj Vidya, Mamta Singh, Arvinder Parmar, Muskan, Rajan Sharma, Harminder Rocky, Deepak Dhawan, Rajan Gulati were present.
Vote of thanks was given by Pramod Dada, Honorary Secretary of the school.
