Arunvir Vashista appointed Additional Judge

Chandigarh, June 23, 2014: The Punjab Government has appointed Arunvir Vashista, Additional District and Sessions Judge, Jalandhar as Additional Judge, Designated Court, Kapurthala at Jalandhar.

Disclosing this here today, an official spokesperson of the state government said that this appointment has been made in concurrence of the Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court and in pursuance with the sub-section (3) of section 7, read with sub-section (4) and (5) of section 9, of the Terrorist Disruptive Activities (Prevention) Act, 1987 (Central Act 28 of 1987). He said that as per the notification, Vashista would replace Harpreet Kaur Randhawa, (since transferred) to exercise jurisdiction in the said designated Court.
