Artists of DAV College win hearts at Republic Day with their Bhangra Performance

Jalandhar, January 29, 2019: 70 students of Extra Mural Activities Department of DAV College Jalandhar rocked the stage of Guru Gobind Singh Stadium on the occasion of the Republic Day with their Bhangra Performance. At the parade held at the Guru Gobind Singh Stadium On the occasion of the Republic Day ,70 Students of DAV College,Jalandhar showcased the Punjab's culture by giving Bhangra performance. Health Minister of Punjab Sh.Braham Mohindra Singh was present at the occasion as the Chief Guest. Senior MLA , Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner of Jalandhar were also present. Praising the student's performance ,Chief Guest Sh. Braham Mohindra, Commissioner Jalandhar Gurpreet Singh Bhullar and Deputy Commissioner Sh. Varinder Kumar Sharma honored the entire team with a trohy and certificate. At this occasion ,College Principal Dr. S.K.Arora appreciated the Team Leader Prof.Ekjot Kaur and the students and said that Bhangra and Giddha are the symbols of excellent Punjabi Culture ,he further added that by participating inn Punjabi cultural activities ,there is overall development in the personality of the students and congratuled the college's artisr on their Bhangra and Giddha performances. During this ,Team Coordinator ,Prof. Ekjot Kaur said that the Bhangra Team was preparing for the Republic Day Performance for so long and by giving their best at the Republic Day ,the team earned the praise from everyone.She congratulated her team for this.
