Ludhiana, January 17, 2013: The  Baba Gurmukh Singh  Auditorium of Ramgarhia Girls College Ludhiana  revered berated with Punjabi songs here today with around 150 contestants from Ludhiana, Moga and Sangrur, vying for berths in the 12th International Exclusive beauty pageant Miss WORLD PANJABAN – 2013.

The contest was held today to select Miss Panjaban belonging to these districts of Punjab for the next round of Miss World Punjaban at Chandigarh.

At the end of the day, after a hectic grind Arshdeep Kaur  was announced Miss Ludhiana-2013 while Harbhavreet Kaur, Teghwinder Kaur and  Isha Tiwari  were announced runner ups.

Besides this, Sandeep Kaur Cheema  was selected Miss Sangrur and Gurjot Kaur, Parveen Rani  and Baljeet Kaur were announced  runner ups. 

Miss Moga -2013 is Amandeep Kaur and Gurleen Gill, Karamjeet  Kaur  are runner-ups.

Manpree Virk ,  Inder Singh Conti of Gurusar Sudhar, Jasgeet Sofia Dhatt   were the judges at the occasion.

The upcoming voice of Punjab Watanjeet and Jay Kahlon sung beautiful songs for the audience from his upcoming album.

Anchoring was done by Pritpal Singh Sidhu and Harjasleen Kaur,  a Punjabi girl from New Zealand . She also performed a beautiful solo dance. 

Ranjodh Singh, President, Ramgarhia Education Council, Ludhiana was chief guest.

Dr. Bikramjeet Singh and Dr. Nirmal Jaura were Guest of Honour. Jagjit Singh Uco   gave a vote of thanks to all.

Manpreet Gill Miss America Panjaban, Sumanpreet Chandi Miss Vancouver Canada Panjaban, Gagan Chohan Miss New Zealand Panjaban and Amrita Parkash Miss Europe Panajaban 2012 were also present.

According to Jasmer Singh Dhatt, Founder Chairman and Director of the beauty pageant, the chosen ones today will now go on to participate in the semi-finals of the Miss World Panjaban – 2013.

Adding, he said over 4,000 contestants from all over the world had sent their applications for the contest.

Winners of Miss America, Canada, Australia, German, Europe and New Zealand have already reached in India and will also participate in the semi-finals. They showcased their talents through dance and their knowledge about Punjabi culture. The contestants were dressed in traditional Punjabi attire and jewellery. They danced on Punjabi folk songs and the emphasis was given on Punjabi culture. The girls dressed up in bright colors looked very much like Punjabi Jattis ready to rule the world.
