Jalandhar, October 6 , 2012: Army will organise an Army recruitment rally at Guru Nanak Stadium, Kapurthala from October 15 to 22 for the categories of Soldiers General Duty, Soldier (Technical) and Religious Teacher.

Candidates belonging to the districts of Kapurthala, Shahid Bhagat Singh Nagar, Jalandhar  and Hoshiarpur can appear for Soldier General Duty whereas candidates of all castes belonging to the state of Punjab can appear for Soldier Technical and candidates belonging to all Punjab and J&K, whose applications have been accepted and call letters issued, can appear for Religious Teacher.

Token for Soldier General Duty candidates hailing from districts of Kapurthala, Shahid Bhagat Singh Nagar and Jalandhar will be distributed on October 15 at 0530h and tokens for the candidates hailing from district of Hoshiarpur will be distributed on October 16 at 0530h whereas tokens for Soldiers (Technical)  candidates from all district of Punjab will be distributed on October 17 at 0530h and tokens for Religious Teacher candidates from all Punjab and J&K will be distributed on October 19 at 0530h.

The candidates appearing for Soldiers General Duty category should have passed Matric (10th) examination with 45% marks in aggregate and 32% marks in each subject, 12th pass or higher qualification candidates need not to have 45% marks.  Candidates appearing for Soldier Technical should have 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects.

The candidates should be between 17 ½  to 21 years of age for Soldier General Duty and 17 ½  to 23 Years of age for Soldier Technical category.

Candidates are required to bring their Original Educational certificate, Residence Certificate issued by Tehsildar/SDM, Caste certificate and religion certificate issued by Tehsildar/SDM, Character certificate issued from School/College/Village Sarpanch/Municipal Committee/Police within six months, unmarried certificate issued by the Village Sarpanch/District Administration and Sons of Servicemen/Ex-Servicemen should bring their Relationship certificate duly issued by respective Records Office signed by the SRO/CRO with his Number, Rank, Name and Appointment. 

Candidates from Kandi Area should bring Kandi Area certificate issued by the SDM.

The candidates should bring their 12 colour passport size photographs (in turban and without turban).

Preference will be given to candidates who scored 1st or 2nd position within last 2 years in sports at National/ International/State/University/District level, having  NCC A/B/C Certificate/O+Level Computer Certificate issued by the DOEACC society.
