Area around Cong MP’s private residence unsafe?

Ludhiana, September 5, 2012: Local Congressmen are seen perturbed over an incident of theft occurred outside the private residence of the party MP from Ludhiana and the party’s national spokesperson Manish Tiwari in Sarabha Nagar, a posh locality, here today.

According to the Ludhiana DCC (Urban) president Pawan Dewan, a person had visited the MP’s residence after parking his car outside. An unknown thief broke down wind glasses of the car and managed to escape after stealing a bag.

The matter was reported to the police. A police party arrived there for inquiries. Later, Dewan alongwith other partymen arrived there. Dewan has strongly condemned the incident. He has expressed concern over deteriorating law and order situation under regime of the ruling alliance in Punjab.

Congress MP was not present at his residence when the incident occurred. It may be mentioned here that the stolen bag carried some important documents. It carried no cash.

Dewan told that the state government had recently reduced security strength provided to Tiwari.
