Ludhiana, September 14, 2015: Architects from The Indian Institute Of Architects Chandigarh Punjab Chapter (IIACPC) has congratulated engineers across India on Engineers Day, being celebrated on 15th September every year. This day is celebrated  as a remarkable tribute to the Greatest Indian Engineer Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya.
His name is  held in high regards as a pre-eminent engineer of India. He was  awarded with the Nations’ highest honour, the Bharat Ratna, in 1955. He was also the chief designer of the flood protection system for the city of Hyderabad.
Engineering is not merely knowing and being knowledgeable; engineering is not merely analysis; engineering is not merely the possession of the capacity to get elegant solutions to non-existent engineering problems; engineering is practicing the art of the organized forcing of technological change.
“Without engineers safe built environment is not possible to achieve”, said Ar Sanjay Goel, Chairman, IIACPC in a statement today.
