Divyanka Tripathi's ‘heavenly’ return to the small screen

The gorgeous Divyanka Tripathi makes a return to her roots at Zee TV this weekend. From beginning her career, playing the coy, demure bride in ‘Banoo Main Teri Dulhan’, Divyanka is all set to do a dance cameo as an angel in Zee TV's Ramayan.

Ramayan says if the wedding of Lord Ram and Sita had happened as per the pre-determined mahurat, the ‘Sita Haran’ would not have taken place … Ram, Sita and Lakshman would not have been sent on the14 yearvanvaas and the ultimate objective of Lord Rama vanquishing the evil Ravana would not have been achieved. So, the devtaas of Swarg Lok contrived in order to delay the mahurat of Lord Ram and Sita’s marriage. They approached Chandra devta to don the avatar of a beautiful apsara,  land at the wedding and enthrall the wedding guests such that the mahurat passes by and the Ram Sita wedding rituals happens late. So, Divyanka Tripathi has been roped in to play this enchanting angel on Ramayan.

“After having started my career with Zee TV, on the occasion of completion of 20 years of the channel, I am extremely happy that I have been given the opportunity to be a part of not just the 20 years celebration but a dance cameo on an epic show like Ramayan as well.” Says Divyanka. “While I have played many roles on other shows, this is the first time that anyone has thought that I look like a heavenly being. It is extremely flattering to say the least!”
