A meeting of Board of Management of LETS being held at Ludhiana on Monday.

Ludhiana, March 2, 2015: Avtar Singh, CEO, Ludhiana Effluent Treatment Society (LETS) in a press release issued today said that in the meeting of Board of Management of LETS held today under the Chairmanship of Raminder Singh, Director of Industries Punjab cum Chairman LETS at CICU Complex, Ludhiana, following decisions were taken:
In order to cater to the needs of electroplating industry, approval for enhancing the capacity of CETP from 300 KL to 500 KL per day was granted. This enhanced capacity besides meeting out the requirements of Punjab industry will also enable the CETP to treat the industrial effluents of Chandigarh industry.
For providing better services to the members and maintain liaison with different Government Departments, adequate land will be provided on priority basis for construction of administrative office building for LETS.
General Manager DIC Ludhiana was advised to identify and submit report to the Director of Industries Punjab cum Chairman LETS regarding availability of land in Village Bhattian for formation of cluster for electroplating industry.
Approval for conducting four seminars was granted for creating awareness amongst small scale units of all types of industries so as to become member of LETS and adopt water management techniques for adhering to pollution norms. 
Besides Raminder Singh, the other government officials who attended this meeting included T.L. Khosla, Industrial Advisor, S.P. Longia Officer on Special Duty, Mahesh Khanna General Manager DIC Ludhiana, Ratra XEN PPCB, Matharoo XEN PSIC and Darshan Singh Manager DIC. Avtar Singh Chief Executive Officer, Jagatvir Singh Secretary, Manmohan Singh Ubhi, Jeevan Kumar Sood, Daljit Singh Dico and Rajinder Singh Sarhali Directors participated in the meeting being members of Board of Management of LETS.
