APPLICATIONS INVITED FOR “JEEVAN RAKSHA PADAK AWARDS 2018”
Ludhiana, July 30, 2018: Deputy Commissioner Mr Pardeep Kumar Agrawal has informed that the Union Ministry of Home Affairs would be giving “Jeevan Raksha Padak” awards for the year 2018. The District Administration has invited applications from the eligible citizens through proper channel for these prestigious awards. Mr Agrawal further informed that those fulfilling the conditions set by the state government should submit their applications on time as they have to be forwarded to the Union government by September 15, 2018. Any person who fulfils the requirements and conditions for Jeevan Raksha Awards, they can submit their applications along with the proof and necessary documents at the office of District Public Relations Officer located in Police Commissionerate Building, District Administrative Complex, Ludhiana by August 25, 2018. The Deputy Commissioner stated that any application received after August 25, 2018 would not be considered as the State government has to forward them after processing them through an online channel. The Deputy Commissioner informed that Jeevan Raksha Padak awards would be given for meritorious acts of humane nature in saving the life of a person in incidents like drowning, accidents, fires, electrocution, landslides, animal attack and rescue operation in mines. He said that the award would be given in three categories--Sarvottam Jeevan Raksha Padak, Uttam Jeevan Raksha Padak and Jeevan Raksha Padak. He further said that personnel of armed forces, police force and fire brigade, who saved someones lives apart from performing their own duty, would also be eligible for these awards. He said that after the applications are forwarded by the state government, these are further discussed in a high powered committee and are further sent to the office of Prime Minister of India and President of India.
