APEEJAY ORGANIZED FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

Jalandhar, December 15, 2018: Apeejay College of Fine Arts organized a one day seminar on Teaching Skills and Research Grants in the form of a Faculty Development Program. Dr.Gurvinder Singh, Professor, Department of Computer Science and IT, GNDU Amritsar was the resource person for the same.

Welcoming, Principal Dr Sucharita said that it is imperative for a teacher of 21st century to keeping abreast of the latest happenings in the domain of research. Dr.Gurvinder apprised the gathering of the needs for teachers to stay updated on technology fronts. He presented through PowerPoint various research domains, journals around the globe and major concepts like citations and authentication of journals. In the context of Journals, the researchers should focus on Standard, Editorial content, international diversity and citation analysis. He talked of monopoly of research journals by UGC and stressed that researchers must look for quality rather than quantity.

Concluding, Principal Dr Sucharita thanked Dr. Gurvinder for his enlightening interaction and sincerely hoped the same cooperation in the coming times as well.
