Jalandhar, October 25, 2016: Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar made a huge success on the very first day of Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar Youth Festival 2016. The students of the College brought laurels by grabbing first positions in 11 items namely Mime, Group Shabad, Group Song Indian, Vaar Singing, Classical Vocal, Painting on the Spot, Poster Making, Photography, Clay Modelling, Installation and Collage. Second positions were grabbed by Kavishri and Cartooning whereas Mimicry stood third. The zeal on the faces of Apeejayites deepened on this glorious opening of Youth Festival. By winning Youth Fest consecutively for 16 years, Apeejay has earned a fame that can hardly be shaken by any other college. The talent it produces confidently presents itself in such competitions and grab higher positions only because of the training and facilities provided by the College.
On this celebrated victory, Principal Dr. Sucharita congratulated all the winners and said that Apeejay finds raw talents and skillfully turns that into efficient artists who can perform and win the hearts of many wherever they go. She further said Youth Festival provides a platform to all the budding artists and with the ignited spirit of competition it prepares them to soar high in the realms of success in future.
