Anti Social Elements Vitiating Atmosphere Of Punjab Will Not Be Spared: Dy CM

Mansa, October 24, 2015: Batting for the need to maintain perfect communal harmony and brotherhood in the state, the Deputy Chief Minister, Punjab, S.Sukhbir Singh Badal said that the anti-social elements responsible for the sacrilege of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, would not be spared and strictest possible action would be taken against them. S. Badal was attending Bhog of Sri Akhand Path held at Gurudwara Sulisar Sahib village Kotdharmu. While praying for peace and unity in the state, S.Badal also expressed deep anguish at the incidents of the sacrilege of Sri Guru Granth Sahib and said that these conspiracies are the handiwork of those elements who are jealous of the brotherhood and communal harmony and rapid development of Punjab.
Addressing the media person on this occasion, he assured that the matter pertaining to the sacrilege of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji would be thoroughly investigated from all angles and the persons behind guilty of committing this heinous crime would not be spared. He also said that the forces behind stoking the fires of fundamentalism and communalism would not succeed in their nefarious designs because Punjab has been a perfect model of communal harmony and the bonds of brotherhood binding people of all the religions are much too strong to be affected by the psyche and horrendous actions of such anti social persons.
S Badal appealed to the people of the state to be wary of the designs of such anti social and communal forces. He exhorted the people not to react on rumours and exercise extreme restraint. He said that history stands testimony to the fact that whenever an outside power has made an attempt to vitiate the peaceful atmosphere of the state, it has to beat a retreat and the threads of brotherhood and peace of Punjab have emerged even stronger.  
On this occasion, Rajya Sabha member Mr. Balwinder Singh Bhunder also appealed to the people of the state to keep intact the peaceful atmosphere, which has been the hallmark of the state. He expressed hope that the people would not fall prey to the evil designs of forces trying to create deterrence’s in the development of Punjab.
On this occasion, MLA Mansa Mr. Prem Mittal, MLA Budhlada Mr. Chattin Singh Samao, Chairman District Planning Board Mansa Mr. Prem Arora, Chairaman District Planning Board Mr. Jagdeep Singh Nakai, Chairman PUNSEED, Punjab Mr. Sukhwinder Singh Aulakh, Deputy Commissioner Mansa Mr. Bhupinder Singh Rai, SSP Mansa Mr. Raghbir Singh Sandhu and others were also present.
