Another Sacrilege Incident In Ferozepur

Ferozepur, August 31, 2018: A sacrilege incident has been reported which has shaken the entire city. As per information available, a Granthi’s wife was using the sacred “Ang” of “Sri Sukhmani Sahib” as wrapping paper for his son’s lunch for school.
Giving details, Bhai Jaspal Singh, President Sikh Students Federation (Mehta) said that the members of the Federation were informed that the two kids of the Gurdit Singh, who was the granthi in one of the gurdwaras located in the cantonment area, were bringing food to school wrapped in sacred “Ang” of Sri Sukhmani Sahib.
“The members of the federation enquired about the incident and found that Nimrat Kaur, the wife of the granthi was using the sacred “ang” as the wrapping paper. Even few “ang” were found scattered outside the school located near Basti Bhag Wali in the city area. The remaining “ang” were recovered from the house of the granthi.
Following the complaint lodged by the members of the federation, the police came into action and arrested the accused Granthi and his wife Nimrat Kaur. A case under 295, 34 IPC was registered against both of the accused.
