Annual Prize Distribution function at Amrit Indo Canadian Academy

Ludhiana, December 31, 2014: The Annual Prize Distribution Function and Martyrdom Day of Four Sahibzadas were celebrated at the premises of Amrit Indo Canadian Academy with zeal and fervor.

The enthuse began with recitation of the Shabad by the students of the Academy. The Kavaishri and Poem on the life of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji and four Sahibzadas enthralled the gathering. Chorus left each one spell bounded. The melodious amalgamation of various traditional musical instruments gave a glimpse of students creativity.

The saga of valour and sacrifice of Sahibzadas with a message to global Sikh community  for rejuvenating  their dropping spirit was witnessed through the Message of School Patron Rajinder Singh. The Principal of the school Jaskiran Kaur read out the annual report of the school and highlighted the progress made by the students in various stratas. She also proposed new year greetings with a message that a following year is just like a 365 blank pages of a book that should be filled worthfully.

Addressing the gathering the President of Amrit Educational Society Harminder Singh advised youth to choose the path of peace, harmony and forgiveness and to take them away from the negative influences of discord and violence. He urged upon Sikhs to follow the preaching of Sikh Gurus. Various members of the staff & students were felicitated for their meritorious services and academic and co- curricular achievements on the occasion.

The entire programme concluded with Guru Ka Langar served by the students and the staff in tandem.
