Annual function of Nirdosh celebrated with great fervor

Ludhiana, April 18, 2019: The annual function of Nirdosh was celebrated with great fervor. Nirdosh is a school for mentally challenged children run by the Inner Wheel Club of Ludhiana.

Mr.Jiwan Lal Gupta, CMD Leeford Healthcare Ltd., was the Chief guest. Chairperson Mrs.Madhu Khosla highlighted the achievements , the biggest being the construction of a hall and setting up of a physiotherapy lab with state-of-the-art equipment. Doctors from CMCH visit the school for this purpose.

Second is the initiation of the Shudh masala project where by the children grind the kitchen masalas.

Nirdosh has now received the FCRA certificate which means that the school can receive funds from overseas.

Donations to Nirdosh are now exempted from income tax under 80G. She thanked all the donors because of whom the school has survived and progressed with out any formal grant.

Principal Surat Singh presented a detailed yearly report of the activities of the school.

A new updated brochure about the school was released. The entire staff and students were presented tokens of appreciation.

Nirdosh children are taught to be self sufficient and given vocational training. The funds generated from the sale of the products are distributed as incentives to these children.

Parents were very happy to see their children perform on the stage. Students performed "AASHAAYEIN"- the journey of our children from Nirdosh school, their dreams and aspirations- how the parents and teachers play a role in fulfilling these. Item was choreographed by Kitty Bakshi.

The chief guest appreciated the work of the ladies of Inner Wheel club and was impressed to see the functioning of the school.

President Jatinder Ghambhir, Secretary Dolly dang, Ripi Chhatwal, Poonam Bindra, Manjula Jain, Namrta Singhania, Kalyani Rai , Sudarshan Khanna, Alka Chhabra, Harkirat Kaur, Anu Agarwal were present in the occasion.
